Understanding Satan as a system part 2
What are demons?
We know that demons are unclean spirits that Influence men.
Yes there are many schools of thought,
Some say, angels slept with men and gave birth to Giants, and when these giants died, their soul had no where to go because they were a forbidden combination, hence are called demons.
Some say demons are the angels that fell from heaven with Satan.
But truly, where did demons come from?
Demons originated from Human spiritual death (Romans 5:12) when man sinned, spiritual death entered. So that death brought Fear, condemnation, guilt, shame, darkness corruption. These manifestations are what they are known as demons. We can personify them and call them the spirit of fear etc, these attack your reasoning mainly to attack what God has said. They are oppositions.
We are going to understand this very well later.
Spiritual death created a vacuum that ignited demons that operate outside God's life.
1Co 10:20 But I [say], that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils."
Demons are linked to idolatry and force worship, these empowers the manifestation of deception, corruption and darkness. Demons gain expression through false belief system, and idolatry gives them expression and identity. So the whole system of this operation is called Satan, while the expressions of this system are Demons.
These demons are empowered by human ignorance of God.
So, if demons are such expressions, then how did they recognize Jesus and talked to Jesus?
Remember, Demons are expression of a system that opposes God, they represent darkness and ignorance,
Jesus in the other hand is the truth, and he is light, so the moment Jesus appeared demons felt tormented why? Because when light appears, darkness must run, when truth appears falsehood must bow.
