Resolutions of the Bor County Parliamentary Caucuses (National and State SPLM) Reconciliation Meeting

A high-level reconciliation meeting of the Bor Communityโs National and State Parliamentarians, senior politicians, and community leaders was successfully convened at the Parliament Building in Juba to address existing differences and promote unity among key leaders of the Bor Community.
The meeting was chaired by Hon. Abdon Agaw Jok and co-chaired by Professor Mayom Kuoirot. The ad hoc Reconciliation Committee comprised Hon. Jok Aring Thon, Hon. Akim Deng Majuch, and Gen. Ayuen Alier Jongror, with Bor Community leadership and SPLM representatives serving as observers.
Deliberations were marked by open and sincere dialogue, reflecting the traditional values of honesty, respect, and community spirit. After comprehensive discussions, the participants reached a consensus on full reconciliation and pledged to advance unity and collective action going forward.
Resolution 1: Full Reconciliation and Harmony
The meeting formally confirms and celebrates full reconciliation among the distinguished leaders, including but not limited to Hon. Michael Makuei Lueth, Hon. Benjamin Malek Alier, Hon. Biar Deng Rit, Hon. Wal Athieu Madol, and Hon. Kuol Bol Ayom.
All past differences are hereby declared resolved, and all parties commit to working together in harmony henceforth.
All leaders reaffirm their commitment to unity and peaceful coexistence as guiding principles for all political and community engagements.
Members are urged to refrain from any actions, statements, or rhetoric that could cause division or misunderstanding within the Bor Community leadership.
Parliamentarians, state officials, and senior politicians from the Bor Community shall join ranks and combine efforts toward a unified vision for the development of the Bor Community and the Republic of South Sudan at large.
This resolution calls for coordinated engagement across legislative, executive, and community platforms.
Any pending agenda items will be addressed in the next reconciliation meeting to be held in Bor Town, which will include representatives of other political parties and traditional chiefs to broaden community participation.
The meeting concluded with prayers and a round of applause, signifying renewed commitment to unity and collaboration.
