The Constitution of Kenya 2010 is a transformative charter that brought radical change into our Country. This year's Katiba day 2026 is important since there is a debate that has been proposed by "the powers that be" to amend our Constitution. It is important that anyone who cares for our Consitution to attend the Katiba day 2026 and contribute to the discussions on the future of Constitutionalism and the rule of law in Kenya.

The words of justice Ringera in Rev Timothy Njoya versus Republic are important and remain the cornerstone upon which we must understand our Constitution. Indeed a costitution is a living document with a soul and conciousness. Kenya ni sisi. NA SISI NI NANI?

Beware of people who Masquarade as Advocates and rob you of your hard earned money. As a litigant or a person seeking legal advise, do some background chek and ensure that the person giving you legal services is duly authourised to do so. As a "customer you have the right to quality legal services as provided for in our Constitution of Kenya 2010.

I call upon the Law Society of Kenya led by kanjama and his Council to declare a crack down on all these people who hold themselves out as advocates while they are not. The legal profession is noble, but few characters will water it down.

The Enviroment and Land Court is perharps one of the busiest court in Kenya. The court was established in the constitution of Kenya 2010 and the Environment and Land Court Act. But what is its jurisdiction? This court deals with matters that taouch on the use and occupation of land. This may seem simple until a matter is before court on these issues. The court of appeal has issued some guidelines to guide courts when confronted with a question as to whether the dispute before it is an Environment and Land Court matter or is a matter that is a preserve of the High Court. The substantial issue test is concerned with the crux of the case before court. What is in contreversy? Does it concern the use and ocuupation of land?
