How about this?

Do you think you know everything about sleep? Think again! ๐Ÿ˜ฒ

There are so many myths and misconceptions about sleep that most people believe without question. But the truth is, some of these myths can actually harm your health and well-being. ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

In this post, we reveal the truth behind eight of the most common sleep myths. Youโ€™ll be surprised by what you learn! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

For example, did you know that:

Cheese does not cause nightmares, but late-night eating can disrupt your sleep cycle? ๐Ÿง€
Alcohol does not help you sleep better, but actually reduces your REM sleep and increases your risk of snoring and sleep apnea? ๐Ÿท
Everyone does not need eight hours of sleep a night, but your sleep needs are unique to you and depend on your age, health, and activity level? ๐Ÿ•’
It is not possible to function on just five hours of sleep, but chronic sleep deprivation can lead to obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and high blood pressure? ๐Ÿ˜ด
Hitting the snooze button is not good for you, but actually makes you feel more groggy and tired? โฐ
You cannot catch up on sleep over the weekend, but sleeping in can mess up your circadian rhythm and cause more sleep problems? ๐Ÿ›Œ
You cannot train yourself to need less sleep, but reducing your sleep time will only make you accumulate a sleep debt that impairs your performance and health? ๐Ÿšซ
Watching TV or using your phone before bed does not help you wind down, but actually interferes with your sleep quality and quantity by suppressing your melatonin and stimulating your brain? ๐Ÿ“บ๐Ÿ“ฑ

How many senses do humans have? More than 5, right? ๐Ÿ‘‚๐Ÿ‘ƒ๐Ÿ‘…๐Ÿ‘๏ธ๐Ÿง

Think again if you said just sight, sound, taste, touch and smell! Our senses are WAY more complex than that:

We have receptors that detect body position and balance. Without this "sense of space" we couldn't walk with our eyes closed!
Nerve sensors detect temperature, pain, vibration, pressure - all parts of touch but sensed uniquely.
Our ears also help control balance through the vestibular system.
Humans can detect over 1 TRILLION different smells! More than dogs! ๐Ÿถ
Some people even taste words or see music as colors because of synesthesia - their senses are crossed!
Our body has evolved intricate ways to take in information most of us never notice. But combining these senses creates our amazing perceptions of the world!

Pretty wild right? Makes you think about how technology could better interact with our senses. Share any weird sense experiences you've had below!

Bats can see! ๐Ÿ‘€ Contrary to the myth, bats aren't actually blind. In fact, some species can even see ultraviolet light that's invisible to humans!

While bats do use echolocation for navigating in the dark, research shows many rely heavily on eyesight when possible. Fruit bats with UV vision likely use it to spot nectar-filled flowers.๐ŸŒผ And insect-hunting bats opt for vision over echolocation alone when they can.

Different species have evolved various visual capabilities to suit their needs. But most use a combination of sights and sounds when flying and hunting. For example, the common North American little brown bat likely uses keen eyesight to fly by moonlight and avoid predators at night.๐Ÿฆ‡๐ŸŒ™

Debunking myths like these is important for bat conservation. Bats play vital roles in ecosystems worldwide. So next time someone says "blind as a bat," feel free to set the record straight! Gotta see these nocturnal flyers for their true senses.๐Ÿ˜Ž

Ever heard someone claim we only use 10% of our brains? ๐Ÿง  I used to think that sounded fishy. And according to a recent article, it's completely false!

Brain scans show the entire brain lights up with activity - not just 10%. Losing brain cells impairs function - if we only used 10%, damage wouldn't matter.

The truth is, our brains are constantly active and working, even at rest. As we practice skills, our brains become more efficient. We use less energy on familiar tasks, not more hidden super-brain-power.

So nope, we don't have a mostly dormant brain with secret untapped abilities! ๐Ÿ˜œ We're using 100% of our minds every day, in intricate ways science is still unraveling. Pretty amazing!

Share this post to help set the record straight. Our minds are incredibly complex organs we're constantly engaging, not motionless mystery blobs. Let's spread facts over myths! ๐Ÿง ๐Ÿง

The new AI photo editing tools on the Pixel 8 Pro seem amazing, but using them in real life is a slog! ๐Ÿ˜ซ I was so excited to fix group shots with Best Take and remove photobombers with Magic Eraser. But both features take FOREVER to process edits. โณ

Just imagine the frustration while waiting 7+ seconds for Magic Eraser to load on a photo. Has this happened to you?? ๐Ÿ‘‡

The other day I tried to use Best Take to fix a group shot. But the feature didn't load at all, even after closing and reopening the app! ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ

I appreciate what Google is trying to do, but the ex*****on just isn't there yet. The ideas are genius but the reality is gimmicky and frustrating.

Have you experienced issues using Best Take, Magic Eraser or other AI features on the Pixel 8 Pro? Share your experiences below! ๐Ÿ‘‡

For now, I suggest editing Pixel 8 Pro shots on a laptop instead of the phone. The Google Photos website is still the best way to seamlessly remove objects or fix group shots IMO.

There are also great alternative mobile apps like TouchRetouch that let you erase objects easily.

I'm hopeful Google can speed up its AI features in future updates. But for now, they feel half-baked rather than helpful. What do you think - are they worth the wait time?

Let me know if you have any other questions about using AI editing tools on the Pixel 8 Pro! I want to provide helpful tips based on my real-world testing.

As someone who struggles to get a good night's sleep, I'm really intrigued by the rumor that the 2024 Apple Watch may gain sleep apnea detection! ๐Ÿ‘€ I already use my Apple Watch for sleep tracking, so this could be a gamechanger. But is it too good to be true? Let's weigh the pros and cons...

1. Blood pressure monitoring - this one makes me nervous ๐Ÿฉธ

Pros:

Early warning of abnormal BP could prompt treatment

Cons:

Not as accurate as dedicated monitors

I have a family history of hypertension, so I like the idea of tracking my BP. But I worry about getting inaccurate readings that stress me out unnecessarily! What do you think - would you use this feature?

2. Sleep apnea detection has me excited ๐Ÿ˜ด

Pros:

Huge to catch undiagnosed apnea early
I'd happily wear my Apple Watch to bed for this!

Cons:

Can't definitively diagnose
I know several people who struggled with undiagnosed sleep apnea for years before getting treatment. This could improve so many lives! But do you think it's worth the battery drain? Would love your thoughts!

So what's your take on these potential health features for the Apple Watch? Useful or just hype? Let me know in the comments!

And click Follow for more in-depth analysis of the latest tech rumors. I'll keep digging into the pros, cons, and my own experience using these devices. Stay tuned!

The Legacy of the "Father of the Atomic Bomb"

Today marks the anniversary of J. Robert Oppenheimer's passing in 1967. Watch this video of the pioneering physicist speaking: https://t.me/geniusunleaashed/19

As director of the Manhattan Project, Oppenheimer brilliantly led efforts to develop the first nuclear weapons during WWII. But he was later conflicted about the devastation caused.

After the war, Oppenheimer advocated against nuclear proliferation and for international control of atomic energy. However, his leftist views led to his security clearance being revoked during the Red Scare - a deeply unjust ruling.

Oppenheimer's story poses profound questions about science, conscience, and destruction. How do you see his legacy - as triumph, tragedy, or both? Share your thoughts below!
