Upcycling glass bottles, can help decrease the volume of waste in urban and peri-urban areas while also creating a market for these handcrafted products. This approach not only aids in waste management but also empowers waste pickers with new skills and income opportunities. Implementing such a program would involve setting up collection systems, providing training, and developing markets for the upcycled products. This could be a sustainable way to address both environmental and economic challenges.
