Chase Turner and Joshua Hutchens Killed in Tragic Side-by-Side UTV Collision with Semi-Truck in Macon County
The Macon County community is in deep mourning following a devastating early-morning crash that claimed the lives of 27-year-old Chase Turner and 28-year-old Joshua Hutchens. Macon County Coroner Eddie Hosley confirmed that the fatal collision occurred at approximately 12:50 a.m. on Friday, June 5, 2026.
According to authorities, Turner and Hutchens were traveling together in a side-by-side utility terrain vehicle (UTV) when it collided with a semi-truck at the intersection of Gene Wilburn Road and Camp Creek Road in Macon County, Georgia. Emergency response efforts were rushed to the scene, but tragically, both young men were pronounced dead at the location of the crash.
Loved ones and community members are remembering Chase for his infectious warmth, kindness, and ability to bring laughter wherever he went, while Joshua is being honored as a fiercely loyal, compassionate, and devoted friend. The Georgia State Patrol, the Macon County Coroner's Office, and the Georgia Motorcarrier Compliance Division are conducting a joint investigation into the exact circumstances surrounding the collision.
