Nancy Njeri is committed to using her platform to amplify the voices of women and girls, particularly in the areas of education and health.

She created a platform called “Back to the Root,” it is dedicated to reducing maternal and infant mortality, which is the sixth leading cause of death in Kenya.

We discussed how the deaths are often preventable, and how your support can make a significant difference.

To achieve her goal, she is partnering with organizations committed to improving maternal and infant health.

I had a lovely conversation with Brett Edwards also known as

Brett “Mr. Eco” Edwards is an environmentalist, an educator, an entrepreneur a NARAS Grammy Voting musician, a YouTuber and a philanthropist. He is creator of “The EcoHero Show” which has performed assemblies for 2,000+ schools in 7 countries reaching 1 Million+ students.

He started writing his own raps in high school (about normal rapper things) but it wasn’t until college where he created Mr. Eco and started rapping about the environment when he was a part of the “Green Campus Program” which helped promote energy and water efficiency to college students. He then started performing at local elementary schools and realized very quickly that was the target audience. Mr. Eco majored in Business: Entrepreneurship and knew he wanted to start his own business that would help impact the world in a positive way.

The EcoHero Show has been sponsored by 120+ cities/counties in CA allowing schools to receive it for free. Brett believes monumental change begins with you and combined his passions for hip-hop and sustainability to create Mr. Eco while in college at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
