The truth is a pill many people are afraid to swallow. From the trailer, to the first episode, knowing how our media operates, the cancellation was nigh.
Now how is it, that we have pastors and so called men and women of 'God', leading the people to 'cults' and false doctrine in the name of prosperity, have never come out to speak out on the Shakahola massacre for example.
Inakuanga tu touch not the anointed.
Oyaah this show was a true reflection of what is happening in our communities. We have pastors who have impoverished families. People have sold their land, buying holy water, buying a fleet of cars; etc.
The pulpit has become a podium of who has it more, the dragon is standing at the altar manning the "flock"by consuming it at their wide Jaws....we are finished.
The State, knows how to control the masses. You see during President Moi's time, Jeff Mwangemi's show on KBC was cancelled. Reggae brought a positive social message that united us all beyond tribe, status, religion.
When the people are enlightened, especially on this side of the continent, the powers that be get uncomfortable.
Becky is a show that has shown what is going on in our society in the quest for wealth. Murder for wealth is being normalised as we watch. If we are comfortable with this show, we might as well stop the hypocrisy and show who we really are.
Hypocrisy is taking dias like a tsunami, ata sisi ni watenda Dhabi but tuambiane ukweli, the so called wachungaji wanakula kondoo kwa kupora.
