Is Salva Kiir from Lou Nuer? confused Dinka SSPDF commander Jiel Mangok said Dr. Riek Machar is not Lou Nuer he is from Bentiu ....he is just using Lou and Lou should stop supporting him.

Lou Nuer people then can also ask why should they support Salva Kiir who is also not from Lou? You see how ridiculous and divisive Mangok's Logic sounds. People have the right to support whoever they believe in politically.

The language of division and tribal separation should not be encouraged. He also said that Riek Machar only gave Lou Nuer ministry of Water....That's still something. Which ministry did Salva Kiir give Lou Nuer in the SPLM-IG? None.

Leaders should use convincing and unifying language because the hidden agenda behind such statements is obvious.

Declaration for Chairperson – LNYAD 2027

Dear: brothers, sisters, elders and leaders of Lou Nuer,

I, Geng Chuol Thiwat, officially declare my candidacy for the position of Chairperson of Lou Nuer Youth for Peace and Development – LNYAD 2027.

As a political science practitioner and one who has served in several youth and community roles, I have seen how power without people becomes empty. I have also felt the quiet pain of a generation watching opportunities pass us by while our unity is tested by division and neglect. It grieves me, because I know we are stronger than this.

But I also believe: our unity is real, even when strained. Akobo, Uror, and Nyirol are not three voices against each other, we are one hand with three fingers. That strength is what I want to build on.

If entrusted with the Chairpersonship, I will use my experience to build a credible, inclusive LNYAD 2027—where policy meets purpose, and where no youth feels forgotten. I do not seek power for myself. I seek to serve you, with humility and with heart.

I care deeply for our youth because I am one of you.
I ask for your support not as a favor, but as a partnership to restore dignity, peace, and progress to our association.

With your support, we will turn our pain into purpose and our unity into action.

Once, I was told to relocate my office to Walgak in Akobo West. Yet I cannot forget that only two months ago, I stood in Akobo East, meeting the people from morning to evening, singing all kinds of war songs , hearing all sorts of promises that they would fight for me.
Few weeks later, those promises dissolved into betrayal,chased away, stripped of all my belongings running for days for my life.

This is the bitter truth, words of loyalty are easy to speak, but when hardship comes, they vanish like smoke in the wind.
