Mark 10:27 (CJB)
Yeshua looked at them and said,
“Humanly, it is impossible, but not with God; with God, everything is possible.”

Verse of the day:
Colossians 3:12-14 (CJB)
"Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with feelings of compassion and with kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
Bear with one another; if anyone has a complaint against someone else, forgive him. Indeed, just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you must forgive.
Above all these, clothe yourselves with love, which binds everything together perfectly;(...)"

O Kenya, land of beauty, brave and bold,
Your hills still sing, though hearts grow cold,
In streets where voices rise in pain,
Hope flickers softly through the rain.
Though trials test our nation's thread,
We rise, unbroken, hearts outspread.
From every tribe, in unity,
We pray and fight for liberty.
Let justice bloom, let peace remain,
And may your wounds not bleed in vain.

I just started reading the book of Jeremiah, and I must confess: every time I’ve come across the books of the prophets, I’ve often felt a deep, overwhelming sorrow. The heavy words of judgment and doom, especially coming from the mouth of God Himself, have always left a lingering sense of grief in my heart. How could a God so loving declare such harsh verdicts on the very people He called His own? Why did it have to get to that point?

But after journeying through the Bible for nearly three years now, I’ve come to what I’d call a 'bargain point' in my understanding. I still can’t say I fully grasp the depth of everything, but I now see how understanding the bigger picture really does help.

Imagine, for a moment, a loving parent, one who has gone through great lengths to provide, protect, and shield their child. This parent has fought battles, broken generational curses, sacrificed dreams, and poured out unconditional love. And yet, despite all of this, the child chooses their own way. They rebel, they wander off like the prodigal son, convinced they know better.

Yet even in the midst of disappointment, that parent never stops loving their child. They may discipline them, not out of hatred, but out of deep, abiding love. They still go above and beyond to ensure that, even in correction, their child knows they are seen, valued, and wanted.

This, I believe, is a picture of God's relationship with Israel in the book of Jeremiah. Though God punished them for their sin even allowing them to be taken into captivity, He never stopped caring for them. He preserved them, promised restoration, and in due time, brought them back.
