In the field, behind the lens, capturing the story, Diego Menjíbar.

📍Photo 1,2 and 3: Joda border, South Sudan. Thousands of refugees fleeing the war in Sudan cross this border daily. Since the war escalated in the southern part of the country in December, there has been an increase in the flow of people. After crossing, they are registered by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and UNHCR, and are then transported by truck, along with all their belongings, to Renk, a city less than 70km from the border. People arrive in poor conditions, many in serious health states, fleeing a conflict that has already displaced more than one million people to South Sudan.

Yesterday, on World Radio Day, our very own Alphonce Shiundu participated in a panel discussion themed 'Dis-misinformation on Climate Crisis'

He highlighted the role journalists play in identifying and challenging the spread of misinformation about climate change.

He emphasized the need for journalists to rely on expert consensus and factual evidence, cut through jargon and focus on clear reporting. By doing so, they can ensure the public receives accurate and reliable information, countering falsehoods that threaten understanding and action on climate change.
