What gets your time?

Pastor David Gibbs reminds us that whatever gets our time reveals what we value. We can find an hour for the things that interest us, but how much time are we willing to give to prayer?

He also asks a question that challenges us: Would anyone count on you when they need someone to pray? Would you be the person they call when they are going through a difficult time?

In this powerful message, Pastor Gibbs shares the story of his son’s life-threatening illness and how things changed when someone stood in the gap to pray.

God hears our prayers. And even when we may not see the answer immediately, we are called to keep seeking Him, trusting Him, and believing that He is at work.

This Prayer Wednesday, may we make room for prayer, not as a burden, but as a privilege to draw closer to God and carry one another’s burdens before Him.

Nigerian worship minister, Elijah Oyelade, reflects on the need to have a continual yearning for God in our lives. He reminds us that this longing is more than an occasional desire for God’s presence; it is a deep hunger to know Him, to fellowship with Him, to hear His voice, and to walk in His ways.

We can sometimes become so caught up in pursuing the things of the world that we look to them to satisfy the deepest longings of our hearts, forgetting that only God can truly satisfy.

His message is a call to every believer to never lose the hunger to know God more and to keep the fire burning as we seek deeper fellowship with Him through prayer, His Word, and worship.

It is easy to praise God when everything is going well. But what happens when life brings us things we never imagined?

Dr. David Gibbs shares the powerful testimony of a young mother who, after losing her husband, her parents, and then facing a serious illness of her own, was told she had only days to live. She did not know who would care for her three young children.

Yet, in the midst of all she was facing, she could still say, “Isn’t God good?”

She trusted that God loved her children even more than she did and that He does all things well. She praised Him before seeing the outcome, trusting Him at His Word.

Her testimony challenges us: Can we trust God even when we don't understand what He is doing? Can we still praise Him in the difficult seasons of life, believing that He is at work and that He will do all things well?

May we learn to trust Him not only when the answers come, but also while we are waiting for them. 🙏
