“The ones who never stop walking are the ones who eventually find their way.”

When your intentions are pure and you keep moving forward without giving up, life has a way of leading you exactly where you are meant to be.

A wire snare tightened around this bull elephant’s leg, a cruel reminder of the threats wildlife still face every day.

These traps don’t choose their victims, they injure anything that passes through, often too late to save.

Acting quickly, the SWT/KWS Meru Mobile Vet Unit stepped in. With precision and care, the team removed the snare before it could cause irreversible damage.

Within moments, the bull was back on his feet, returning to the wild where he belongs.

This is the result of constant patrols, rapid response, and deep commitment from teams on the ground who protect wildlife every single day.

Incredible work by everyone involved.

A foal slipped into a steep roadside pit near Manga, along the Nairobi–Mombasa highway.

With loose soil collapsing under him, he couldn’t climb out, while his mother stayed at the edge, unable to reach him.

The Kenya Wildlife Service Tsavo Vet Unit responded quickly, managing the unstable ground and carrying out a careful lift to get the foal out safely. Within minutes, he was back on his feet and reunited with his mother and the herd.

Great work by KWS. This is the kind of on-ground response that often goes unseen, but makes a real difference.

Topis in a perfect moment, silhouetted at sunset.

Topis are among the fastest antelopes in Africa, built for open plains like the Maasai Mara.

They’re known for their alert stance and habit of standing on slight rises, often pausing to watch their surroundings, moments that create silhouettes like this.

Quiet peek of the outside world.

Just a quiet peek outside.

At around six to eight weeks old, leopard cubs start stepping out from their dens for short, careful moments in the open.

They don’t go far, just small steps, looking around, taking things in, while the mother stays close, watching as the cub slowly gets used to what’s out there in the Masai Mara.
