Iran is demanding $300 billion from the U.S. in war reparations and the unfreezing of billions in restricted assets, including $12 billion upfront, as conditions to end the ongoing war and reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

Tehran detailed its position in a 14-article proposal mediated by Pakistan, which outlines several key requirements:

Financial Demands

Compensation for war damages and the immediate release of frozen funds, including $24 billion during negotiations.

Regional & Trade Terms

An end to all blockades on Iranian ports, a halt to hostilities across the region (including in Lebanon), and a requirement to protect its regional allies.

Strategic Infrastructure

Iran refuses to relinquish sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz and is demanding formal legal recognition of it.

Military & Nuclear Agendas

Tehran insists its ballistic missile program remains strictly non-negotiable, though it has offered to negotiate over nuclear enrichment capabilities.

The U.S. and Israel have pushed back against many of these conditions.

President Trump has publicly deemed Tehran's latest counterproposals unacceptable, and talks remain at a deadlock.
