“The Weight I Carry”

I don’t always say what hurts,
because the words feel too heavy,
too sharp,
too fragile to release.

So I bury them in silence,
carry them like stones in my chest,
pretend I am lighter than I am.

But the truth is—
some days,
I am only breathing through cracks.
Some days,
I survive by holding myself together
with nothing but trembling hands.

And still,
I rise with the morning.
Still,
I face the world with quiet strength.

Because even if no one sees the weight,
I know what it costs me to keep walking.
And that alone
is proof of my courage.
