*To anyone reading this who feels like I do right now*

Life has been a lot.
I’ve lost close friends. To depression. To anxiety. To feeling so alone it hurts. To poverty that makes tomorrow feel impossible.

And when the pain gets too loud, some of us look for anything to make it quiet for just an hour or two. Something to take the edge off. To forget.

I know what it’s like to try and fall. To get back up and fall again. To feel like no one sees how hard you’re fighting just to keep going.

But please hear me: *this is not the end of your story.*
We are losing people who were meant to still be here. People who are hurting in silence because they think nobody gets it.

You are not alone in this. I’m hurting too. My heart is bleeding too. But we can be honest with each other.

If you’re in that dark place, please don’t hold it in. Talk to someone you trust. A friend. Family. An elder. Anyone who will sit with you and listen. You deserve support. Struggling doesn’t make you weak, it makes you human.

To the youth: I see you. The pressure, the bills, the rejection, the quiet nights — it’s real. But your life matters. Your story isn’t finished yet. Even on the days you don’t believe that.

We have to start saying it out loud. No more pretending we’re fine when we’re not.

*This is Bosco 🐕❤️*

Bosco isn’t a show dog. He doesn’t have a fancy pedigree. But on a homestead, he’s everything.

He’s the kind of dog you’ll find in homesteads all over the world. The local, hardworking, big-hearted village dog.

Bosco is up before the sun, walking the boundaries like he owns the place. One bark and we know if it’s a neighbor, a visitor, or just the wind in the trees. He keeps watch while we work, curls up near the door at night, and somehow always knows when the kids need a buddy.

What makes dogs like Bosco so special on homesteads?
They’re tough. They adapt to whatever the land gives them.
They’re practical. Great at keeping pests away from the garden and grain.
And they’re loyal. Not because we trained them to be, but because they choose us, day after day.

We didn’t pick Bosco because of his breed. We picked him because he fit right into the rhythm of this place. Into our life.

So if you’ve got a Bosco too, you already know. They’re not just dogs.
They’re family, security, and a little bit of joy trotting around the yard.
