Today, I attended the mass burial of two victims, Jacob Kisangau and Maneno Musili, who tragically lost their lives to armed camel herders. I strongly condemn the continued insecurity and demand immediate action from national security agencies to protect lives and property. It's unacceptable that innocent lives continue to be lost. I stand with the people of Kitui South in demanding justice and peace. May their souls rest in peace.

Yesterday, I had the privilege of launching an additional bursary fund of Ksh 424,000, benefiting at least 45 students from Kitui South. This initiative underscores our commitment to ensuring that no learner is left behind. As I told parents gathered at the CDF offices, "Our children must remain in class, not out herding goats or worrying about fees." This effort reflects the President's dedication to supporting education and empowering our youth to realize their dreams.

Today, I joined residents and students at Mathima and Kituti, respectively, during the sub-county games, showing my continued support for youth development through sports. The games brought together schools and teams from across the sub-county in a vibrant display of talent, teamwork, and discipline.

As a token of encouragement and appreciation, I awarded mattresses to the winning teams that will represent the sub-county at the upcoming county-level competitions. I congratulated all participants and reaffirmed my commitment to nurturing young talent and investing in youth empowerment. Sports unite communities and build strong values in our young people. I am proud of all the participants and wish our champions success at the county games.

I emphasized on the importance of supporting young talent and urged the County Government of Kitui to ensure smooth facilitation of school games, noting that the responsibility for organizing such events now lies with the county government.
