"Hi NGC I want to raise a concern about something I witnessed today at Makongeni involving a Matatu There was a lady travelling with her colleague. Her colleague alighted briefly to go do something, and the Metro was not even full at the time The vehicle then started moving before the colleague came back. The lady realised she didn’t know exactly where she was going and asked to be allowed to alight so she could wait for her colleague.
The male and female conductors told her that if she alighted, she would still have to pay for the seat. They also told her that the vehicle had already left and that she should take the next Metro and meet her colleague ahead.
The lady insisted that she wanted to get off and stood up, trying to move towards the door while the vehicle was already on the highway. Things became chaotic, and while the conductors were trying to stop her, she was almost pushed out of the moving vehicle.
My concern is, why was the situation handled this way?
