Twenty African wild dogs, including 10 adults and 10 pups, have died in a suspected poisoning incident near Xudumela Conservancy, south of Botswanaโ€™s Okavango Delta. Four people have been arrested and placed in police custody as investigations continue. The incident has dealt a major blow to conservation efforts, as African wild dogs are among the continentโ€™s most endangered species.
