I convey my deepest condolences on the passing of Hon. Cyrus Shakhalaga Jirongo.
His tenure as Minister for Rural Development and later as a steadfast representative for Lugari remind us that public service is a marathon of conviction, not a sprint of convenience.
May his wife, children and the entire Jirongo kindred find solace in the knowledge that Kenya’s parliamentary history is indelibly etched with his name.
Mzee; may your new journey be as spirited as the debates you enlivened.

Let the cycle stop with us.

Let us plan our lives in such a way that we will give our children seed capital instead of taking away the little they have.

The gap between the poor and the rich starts with foundations. A child who starts life with burdens and backward flow of capital can never compete with one who starts with funding and mentorship.

Poverty runs in the family through inherited burdens until someone decides to change the story.

We can change the story.”
