“Let us work hard so that our children will not need to build us houses at the time they should be starting their lives.
Let the cycle stop with us.
Let us plan our lives in such a way that we will give our children seed capital instead of taking away the little they have.
The gap between the poor and the rich starts with foundations. A child who starts life with burdens and backward flow of capital can never compete with one who starts with funding and mentorship.
Poverty runs in the family through inherited burdens until someone decides to change the story.
We can change the story.”
