After WAR MEMORIAL HOSPITAL, Now its AFRAHA STADIUM OPEN Ground. Hope's of AFRAHA to Be AN INTERNATIONAL Stadium has been put to chance.
The County Government of Nakuru has reaffirmed its commitment to affordable housing development as County Chief Officer for Housing and Urban Development Arch. Kamau Kuria conducted an official inspection of the site earmarked for the upcoming Social Housing Project.

Accompanied by technical officers Mr. Kamau visited the proposed location - the land adjacent to Afraha Stadium to assess its readiness for development.

The inspection covered critical aspects including land ownership, infrastructure access, drainage systems, and environmental impact—key considerations for the successful rollout of the project.

The upcoming Social housing project, part of the national Affordable Housing Programme, is expected to deliver low-cost housing units targeting low- and middle-income earners in the county.It will also create local jobs, enhance infrastructure, and improve urban planning within the region.

Mp for Kasipul Mr Charles Ong’ondo Were has been gunned down in Nairobi.

The incident which happened in City mortuary roundabout, was by a well trained gunman according to the police. Luckily the driver and bodyguard who were together with the MP in the car, were not harmed.

Witnesses say that the assailant was on a motorbike and sped off immediately after committing the crime.

His contribution and impact to the media industry will never go unforgotten. May God grant comfort to his family, friends, and fans during this difficult time.

President William Samoei Ruto has officially opened the Lanet Regional Hospital in Nakuru.

The 150 bed capacity facility that will bring specialized health care from ICU, renal analysis and specialized surgery can now be accessed by service personnel, their immediate dependants, veterans and even the surrounding community at large.

Again the Ulinzi Prime Health service fund was launched that will allow civilians to access services at the KDF medical facilities.

This hospital will ease the burden that was suffocating the level 6 general hospital on matters dialysis and other chronic ailments thus propelling the government commitment in advancing healthcare systems, building a more stronger self sufficient country and provide a universal healthcare coverage avenue.

The residents of Nakuru Town West Barut Ward at Ndaragu Bridge near Eileen Ngochoch had a bountiful feast after a stray Buffalo was turned into meat.

It's allegedly been reported that the residents in that area had complained to the KWS several times about the notorious buffalo that had encroached on their land and farms but in vain.

The residents decided to take the bull by it's horns and deal with the menace. It is also reported that one buffalo has been shot dead and two others are roaming freely within the same area. Residents have been cautioned to be extra vigilant and careful.

A light aircraft Cessna 185, crashed today morning at Kedong Ranch in Naivasha, leaving no survivors. The aircraft had departed at Wilson Airport for Mbaruk before the crash occurred.

Authorities, including the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA), are investigating the cause of the crash though poor terrain and weather were a challenge to the rescue mission. Our condolences to the mourning families.

Nakuru City residents are dissatisfied with the County Government of Nakuru due to the current status of Afraha Stadium and are calling out for demonstration on 16th January 2025 as a way of expressing their concerns. Afraha Stadium has been under rehabilitation for the past 4 years, which began under the former Governor Lee Kinyanjui and was expected to be complete before August 2024 but has stalled. The disappointed residents are calling out Governor Susan Kihika to reopening Afraha Stadium to the public for use rather than leaving it almost abandoned and neglected.

BREAKING NEWS | Janet Wanja has died.

Celebrated Kenyan volleyball legend Janet Wanja has tragically passed away after battling gallbladder cancer.

She fell ill in August shortly after returning from the Paris Olympics, where she served as the Malkia Strikers' fitness trainer.

Janet Wanja played for Malkia Strikers and Kenya Pipeline Volleyball club. She is Kenya's best setter historically.

Wanja is a sister to former Harambee Stars midfielder Kevin Kimani.
