As I transverse across Laikipia, its unfortunate to note the dilapidated state of our road network. Evidently the County leadership is lacking and its sad that Laikipians have to pay the price. The winds of change are blowing and come 2027 lets replicate this on the ballot by vouching for leaders who are development oriented and accountable to the people.

Understanding the voting process, knowing the rights and responsibilities of voters, and staying informed about leadership choices are key steps toward building a stronger, more accountable community.

Young people hold the power to transform Laikipia’s future. By registering to vote and participating actively in elections, the youth can influence policies that affect education, employment, healthcare, and development. The time to act is now—register, learn, and take part in shaping the destiny of Laikipia.

Kenyans are still shocked and saddened by the passing of Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga. As a nation, we came together to mourn and pay our respects to a leader who dedicated his life to the struggle for democracy and the welfare of Kenyans.

Unfortunately, Governor Mutahi Kahiga's utterances on this occasion have fallen short of the expected statesmanship and respect for the departed. We want to categorically state that his remarks are personal and do not reflect the sentiments of the people of Mt. Kenya.

As Laikipians we urge all leaders to maintain decorum and respect for fellow leaders, especially during times of national mourning. Let us use this moment to come together and uphold the spirit of unity and peace.

May the legacy of The Rt.Hon.Raila Odinga C.G.H and his service to the nation continue to inspire us all.
