On matters of Education, do you know that : MCA (Member of County Assembly) and County Education in Kenya involves MCAs legislating, overseeing, and budgeting for education services mostly pre-primary. This means that the Kenya's MCA's roles are limited to ECDE, such as building ECDE classes.
On the other hand, the role of the MNA, is primarily to fulfill their legislative and representative duties, which translates to policy-making, resource allocation, and oversight of the education system within their jurisdiction such as Primary, Secondary and Tertiary schools.
In short, class renovations, bursaries, and any major issue related to education you should consult your MNA. For all Early Childhood education needs, your MCA will be available for help.
But my question is, does it mean that the MNA and MCA should not come together and save a situation like the cases we have witnessed in Kambuku, Isovya, and Kyakithuku? Should there be a blame game?
What do you think?
