The Kenya One, Patrick Matasi saga runs deeper than many think! I still remember that Police FC vs KCB match at Police Stadium, what I witnessed that day left me speechless. Matasi conceded a soft goal, then immediately picked a fight with defender Aboud Omar. Their then-coach Zdravko Logarušić, a no-nonsense tactician, wasted no time in substituting them both. But instead of taking his place on the bench, Matasi stormed straight to the dressing room in a fit of rage. Right then, I knew something wasn’t adding up!

Logarušić, known for his demand for discipline and intelligence on the pitch, was later forced out of Police FC sabotaged by senior players who were clearly serving their own interests. And now, with the match-fixing allegations surfacing, the dots are starting to connect!

Some are trying to justify this by saying players engage in betting because they aren’t paid. Nonsense!. These are just sellouts who no longer play for the badge or respect their fans.

Football is about passion, loyalty, and integrity, not dirty money.

Matasi, currently with Kakamega Homeboyz FC, is seen in a parked car discussing the deal, though the video's date remains unclear.

Previously with Kenya Police FC, Tusker FC, Posta Rangers, and AFC Leopards, Matasi has been one of Kenya’s top goalkeepers, but his inconsistency has often raised questions. Fans are now revisiting past errors with suspicion, wondering if some were deliberate rather than accidental.

I have always suspected him to be a gambler from the goals he has always conceded; especially Harambee Stars matches.

The match fixing syndicate in Kenya is big and it was facilitated by Crook Nick Mwendwa when he was FKF president. That's why that tourist Engin Firat was brought on board.

Harambee Stars coach Benni McCarthy praised the fans for their overwhelming turnout during the match against Gabon, expressing his amazement at the size of the crowd.

"We are incredibly grateful for the support the people of Kenya showed by coming out in such large numbers to cheer the team. Honestly, this was the most memorable experience. Even in my career in Europe, I’ve never seen anything like this," said the coach.
