Man arrested for allegedly stealing chief’s motorbike

A Man in his twenties has been arrested for allegedly being responsible for a missing motorbike belonging to a Narok county assistant chief.
Ndamama sub-location assistant chief Michael Bii, said he had parked his private, motobike in a shade and joined a church congregation in the village, only to come and realize that his bike cannot be traced.
Efforts to follow leads after the incident didn't materialize, prompting him to seek audience from his colleagues across the county.
"I have suffered a lot of walking across my area of jurisdiction after the bike was stolen, despite that I have been trying my all my best to offer the services needed. The suspect is a well-known notorious thief in our area. His arrest is an achievement in our place" added the administrator.
Following the search, the suspect, Patrick Chumiot was nabbed in his hideout in Kericho county with a motobike number plate and is being held at Njipiship police post .
