POLICE ARREST 4 SUSPECTS, RECOVER CASH STOLEN FROM A LOCKED CAR IN LODWAR

Yesterday, December 19, 2023, NPS Officers based in Lodwar Police Station and their DCI colleagues intercepted a get away vehicle at Sopel along Lodwar-Kitale Highway and arrested the 4 occupants, namely; Stephen Kamire, Erick Odhiambo, Raphael Ndeda Otieno, and Emmanuel Okoth.

Also recovered from the vehicle, KDJ 496 Toyota Ractus, was Ksh. 300,000/=, 4 smart phones, 8 SIM cards, and 3 button phones.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the money was stolen from a parked car.

The matter is under investigation by DCI Turkana Central.

FATAL ROAD TRAFFIC ACCIDENT IN MAKUENI CLAIMS TEN LIVES along KIKIMA-MACHAKOS ROAD,
10 passengers lost their lives, after matatu REG.KCQ 920H belonging to MAKOS SACCO, that they were travelling in, lost control and rolled several times.

Seven other passengers were seriously injured and were rushed to MBOONI SUBCOUNTY HOSPITAL in critical condition.

FOUR PEOPLE KILLED IN FATAL ROAD ACCIDENT ALONG ELDORET-NAKURU ROAD

Four people lost their lives on Monday at around 0500hrs, through a tragic road accident involving a Nakuru-bound matatu belonging to Msamaria Shuttle Ltd after the said motor vehicle lost control, colliding head on with an oncoming 60-seater bus at Hill Tea Area along Eldoret- Nakuru Road.

The matatu was carrying 16 passengers at the time of accident which claimed the lives of the driver and three other passengers that died on the spot. Nine other passengers were seriously injured, and are currently receiving treatment at Eldama Ravine Sub-County Referral Hospital. The bodies of the deceased were moved to the same facility.

Motorists are being urged to exercise extreme caution while on the roads especially during this rainy and festive season.
