Reflecting on where we have come from.

Read this👇
If you planted two trees of the same species and watered one twice a day, does that mean the tree watered twice grows faster or twice than the other? I guess not.

In fact, the one watered once a day might grow better, yet the other one might get the roots suffocated.

This is what happens in growth. You cannot comprehend everything at a go. It takes time to learn, make errors and correct, stumble to fall, and yet get up and keep going.

We are living in a world that praises instant glories. You will stand out if you are not moved by trends, online and offline pressures that young people are going through in an attempt to prove that they are making it big.

The most critical part in growth/ building is the part that no one sees. The late nights and early dawns of learning are what build the strongest grounds for the business.

The journey of life has phases.

The first phase is learning: Here, you gain the mastery that will determine your capacity in the next phase.

The second is earning: The less competent you are, the less you earn.

The next phase is investing: You cannot invest without earning. If you earn less, you invest less.

What does this tell you?
You cannot invest without earning. You can not earn without the relevant skills acquired through learning.

Primarily, you cannot escape any of the phases of life and expect to thrive in the other. The reason because each phase determines how far you make it in the other.

If you are on the verge of giving up, just don't. I want you to remember this Swahili phrase, "Ata hii si ya Milele*.
This is the phrase that has kept going for more than 8 years.

True story:
I was in form 3 ~many years ago. A speaker from the University of Nairobi ~ who happened to be an alumnus of the school ~ had been invited to come and speak to us about the virtues of endurance and determination. His name was Mr. Kennedy. He spoke for more than 2 hours but (surprisingly) I only heard one utterance from him, and it clung in my mind to date.

Every time I'm faced with hardships, I vividly remember his words. With a calm measure of voice, and a congruous intonation, he spoke, "Ata hii si ya Milele", which simply meant no situation is permanent in life.

I want to tell you today, that you will get through this moment. And when you do, you will look back, in a merry spirit, with a smile, and you will say to yourself, "It was hard, but I did it anyway".

You are stronger than you think.

Dr. Siamanta is the C.E.O. of Kenya's reading and writing culture while Madam Jacinta is a psychologist by profession, an advocate of mental health awareness, and a Hiv & Aids counselor.

Dr. Siamantha has published many books and our company has had the privilege to publish some of them I.e Moses the Deliverer, Diabetes Encyclopedia, and many more.
