HOUSEHELP WHO DISAPPEARED WITH EMPLOYER'S SH 2.2M NABBED
29-year-old house help, Fleviar Muhonja Anaya, who pulled off a bold heist vanishing with Sh 2.2 million from her employer’s home is finally arrested by detectives from DCI Nairobi Regional Headquarters & officers from Crime Research and Intelligence Bureau counterparts.
Efforts to trace her whereabout follows a security guard report who called her employer with a peculiar report that Muhonja was seen leaving her employer's house with a large carrier bag. On being questioned, she claimed she was delivering something for her boss.
Rushing back home, the employer realized that Sh2.2 million she had kept safely in her bedroom was missing where she made report & investigation kicked off. Through forensic research, Muhonja was cornered & arrested in Malava, Kakamega County.
Interrogations, led detectives to Kapsoi, Vihiga County, where Sh700,000 was recovered from her grandmother’s house & at her rural home in Kipkaren, Uasin Gishu County, police recovered three chain links which had been bought using the stolen cash. She further led detectives to Nairobi’s South B, Fuata Nyayo area, where an additional Sh800,000 was recovered from her rented house.
The house help was finally booked in custody at Capitol Hill Police Station for processing as she awaits for her day in court.
