The body of the late former Chepalungu Member of Parliament, Hon. John Koech, has been airlifted to his rural home in Sitima ahead of tomorrow's funeral service.

In a solemn and emotional moment, the remains of the late Hon. John Koech were received by family members, close friends, and residents of Chepalungu at Sitima grounds. The body was airlifted from Nairobi by helicopter, marking the final journey of a man celebrated for his service and dedication to the people of Bomet County.

The late Hon. Koech, who served as Chepalungu MP and held various leadership roles, will be remembered for his contribution to national development and community empowerment.

A night vigil will be held at his rural home in Sitima, where mourners continue to gather in large numbers to pay their last respects.

President William Samoei Ruto is expected to lead the funeral service tomorrow, alongside other national and local leaders, in honoring the life and legacy of the departed statesman.

Hon. Koech leaves behind a lasting legacy in Kenya’s political and social landscape. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
