LoHo Learning team had the pleasure of visiting Mutongoni Academy in Machakos County, where our dedicated coding tutor Abraham Nalianya led an engaging and impactful coding session.

Grade 7 and 9 students explored the fundamentals of JavaScript, while Grade 6 learners brought their creativity to life through Scratch programming.

At LoHo Learning, we believe that recognition is a key motivator in a learner’s journey. This week, we had the privilege of visiting Anestar School to celebrate students who successfully completed TOFAS - a unique evaluation designed to track progress and reward excellence in maths and coding.

Through TOFAS, learners working with Qureo, our gamified coding platform, get a chance every term to test their understanding, strengthen problem-solving skills, and earn tangible certifications that reflect their efforts and growth in the world of programming.

This moment was not just about awarding certificates - it was about building confidence, nurturing digital skills, and preparing the next generation for a tech-driven future.

We had the pleasure of attending the Coding and Computing Event at Alliance High School, where our colleagues Kelly and Yu Yamakami represented LoHo Learning.

Students showcased incredible tech projects that reflected creativity, logic, and problem-solving at its best. As part of our engagement, we introduced students to Qureo, a gamified, self-paced coding platform that sparked immense interest - especially among Form Two students, who eagerly engaged in learning how to build their own games and animations.

On 19th - 20th June, we took part in the launch of the One Child One Chromebook in Africa project - a transformative project aimed at advancing digital learning equity across the continent. Hosted at the Google Offices in Nairobi, this launch marks a major step forward in empowering learners through technology.

In collaboration with our esteemed partners - Zila Tech Limited , Longhorn Publishers Plc , Loop, Acer , and Google for Education - the event brought together key stakeholders, educators, and schools to witness first-hand how digital tools are shaping the future of education.

Through this initiative, we’re making it possible for every child to access quality, curriculum-aligned content on Chromebooks through LoHo Learning’s interactive eBooks, coding lessons to interactive math and curriculum-aligned materials, ensuring learning is not only accessible but engaging and inclusive.

This project represents more than just devices and content - it’s about opportunity, access, and unlocking every learner’s potential regardless of their background.

We extend our gratitude to all the partners and schools who continue to champion digital transformation in education.
