Her name is Nkirote wa Makarius.
A daughter born and bred in Tharaka nithi county ,Tharaka ,Chiakariga ward in a village between Mirinya YA mbiti,Murio Mburaga and kamuujwa😁

Her love for beekeeping goes back to her training in kws where most of her time was spent in the wild.

Nkirote realisation for bee keeping came into implementation in 2019( during the corona period)This is the time she made beekeeping her full time occupation (then)after losing her job from the hospitality industry (which was hit by corona so badly)

At one time she got overwhelmed by customer and she sought an alternative supply of honey which went on well until one fake honey dealer decide to supply "mkorogo in the name of honey"she no longer outsource..

This slightly messed her brand but one thing though, she corrects, confronts, explains and cleans her mess pretty well...This was in 2022..

Her clients have trusted her.
Her clients have recommended her
Dignitaries are consuming her brand
Hotels are consuming her brand
People with terminal illness are consuming her brand

One thing about Nkirote is that she with her team who is her dad Makarius Kathenya 😂 harvest, packages and supplies the honey herself...so incase you feel dissatisfied which is rare, she shifts the blame to no one...it's her that you congratulate
It's her that you appreciate
It's her that you recommend
It's her that you reprimand
It's her that you deal with
Her outlets are in
Isiolo
Meru
Chuka

And marimanti is the headquarters of her packaging

One thing she can tell you for free is one mistake in honey farming , packaging and delivery you are out of business...
Another thing is that authentic honey is expensive...very expensive

Former Cabinet Assistant Secretary and former Tharaka Member of Parliament, Hon. Mburi Mwiru, has called on leaders in Tharaka Constituency, particularly the area MP, to prioritize the establishment of an education kitty. According to Hon. Mwiru, such an initiative would play a pivotal role in combating poverty and addressing the challenges faced by students unable to afford school fees. He emphasized that access to education is a key factor in uplifting communities and fostering long-term development.
Hon. Mwiru pointed out that a significant number of students in the region fail to transition to tertiary education due to financial constraints. He urged local leaders to work together in mobilizing resources to ensure that no student is left behind in their educational journey. The proposed education kitty, he explained, would help bridge the gap and enable bright but disadvantaged learners to pursue their dreams.
In addition to advocating for financial support for education, Hon. Mwiru highlighted the importance of embracing technical and vocational training. He encouraged students who may not have qualified for university admission to consider enrolling in technical institutes. He noted that these institutions offer practical courses that equip learners with skills relevant to the job market and entrepreneurship.
Technical education, Hon. Mwiru added, is a powerful tool for economic empowerment and poverty eradication. He urged the community to shift their mindset and recognize the value of technical courses in creating a self-reliant society. By focusing on skill development, the youth can secure sustainable livelihoods and contribute positively to the region's growth.
Hon. Mburi Mwiru called on stakeholders, including the county government, development partners, and well-wishers, to support initiatives aimed at enhancing access to education in Tharaka. He reiterated his commitment to championing education as a means of transforming lives and breaking the cycle of poverty.

Residents of the Tharaka community are pressing the High Court for a swift ruling in the case involving former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua. They argue that the prolonged legal process is hindering national development and causing unnecessary delays in governance. Many believe that a timely decision is essential for moving forward and addressing pressing issues in the community.

The residents contend that the ongoing case has diverted the attention of various leaders, forcing them to focus on legal matters rather than their official responsibilities. This situation is seen as detrimental, as it takes away valuable time and resources that could be better spent on development initiatives and community welfare.

Furthermore, the community members express frustration with the slow pace of the judicial process, which they feel undermines public confidence in the legal system. They argue that uncertainty surrounding the case hampers effective leadership and decision-making, ultimately impacting the overall progress of the country.

In light of these concerns, the Tharaka community is calling on the High Court to expedite its ruling. They believe that a prompt resolution will enable leaders to refocus on their duties and foster an environment conducive to growth and development.
