A man has tragically lost his life after being electrocuted while working on an electricity pole.

An elderly couple, Mr. and Mrs. Machogu, aged 72 and 70, were brutally murdered in Nakuru County by their shamba boy following a domestic dispute that spiraled out of control.

The chain of events began with a troubled romantic relationship between the shamba boy and the family’s househelp, who was reportedly pregnant. When disagreements between the two escalated, the Machogus attempted to intervene in hopes of reconciling them. Unfortunately, their mediation efforts proved unsuccessful.

The following day, the shamba boy alleged that the househelp had gone missing. Soon after, he launched a violent attack on the couple, fatally assaulting them with a panga before disposing of their bodies in a borehole on the farm.

The househelp’s disappearance remains a mystery, fueling tension and fear within the community. The shamba boy has since been arrested and confessed to the killings, leaving Elburgon residents in shock and mourning the loss of the Machogus, whose lives were cut short in a senseless act of betrayal.
