Get to know me ✨

Here are 10 things you might not know about me. 🙊

1. I was a hairdresser for 5 years before moving overseas and deciding it wasn’t an industry I wanted to work in anymore. I still do friends and families hair and of course my own. 💇‍♀️

2. I moved to Canada for 6 months to do a ski season and ended up staying 8 years. I’m now a Canadian Permanent Resident but still am obsessed with Australia and miss it every day. 🐨🐊🦘

3. I played basketball all through high school and for a few years played competitively 5 days a week. 🏀

4. I’ve been a housekeeper more than once. Tell me you were on a working holiday visa, without telling me you were on a working holiday visa. 🗺️

5. We moved a lot when I was growing up, I went to 5 different schools and 2 preschools. My sister had it worse than me though, 8 schools in 7 years.📚

6. I first saw snow when I was 18 yrs old and started snowboarding when I was 21. It’s now one of my favourite things to do in the whole world. ❄️

7. I worked on a mountain at a ski resort for 8 years. I stared as a lift operator and was then the Lift Operations Supervisor for 7 years. To say I know a lot about chairlifts would be a serious understatement. ⛷️🏂

8. I have a lot of tattoos and have been tattooed more than 15 times. I’ve also had one removed because the tattoo artist did a crappy job. 🩸💉

9. During the pandemic I did a career shift and studied my Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care. It was a two year course which I completed in 8 months because I was moving back to Canada and had a very tight timeline. 👶

10. I really, really love animals and had always wanted to work with animals in some form. I now think one day I might be interested in rehabbing injured wildlife or maybe just volunteering. I would also love to have a little hobby farm one day with all the animals running happy and free. 🐶🐷🐰🐥🐍
