A little behind the scenes from the September Hiring Surge Challenge 👀😂

Now that we’ve made it to the end, I want to know: what lesson from the series resonated with you most?

30/08/2026

30 days. 30 challenges. We’ve finally made it to the finish line. 🎯

Maybe you missed a day or two along the way. That’s okay. This was never about being perfect. It was about making progress and becoming more intentional about how you approach your job search.

Thirty days can give you a lot to work with, but building a stronger job search takes more than a month. That’s why we created the Let’s Get You Hired Toolkit: to help you keep that momentum going with the tools and structure to actually put everything into practice. Link in bio.

What’s one thing you’re taking away from the last 30 days? Tell me in the comments.

“The degree era is over”… but what does the person reading your CV actually think? 👀

For Part 2, we brought recruiters into the conversation.

As the bridge between employers and job seekers, they see both sides: what candidates think companies want, and what employers are actually looking for when hiring.

So, is having a degree still enough? What makes a candidate stand out? And where are job seekers getting it wrong?

We unpack all that and more in The Degree Era Is Over, Part 2.

The full episode premiered this morning and is now live on YouTube. 🎙️

Asking for help with your job search isn't a weakness. It might be exactly what gets you moving.

Job hunting can feel lonely, especially when you've been trying everything on your own and nothing seems to be working. But you don't have to figure it all out by yourself.

Sometimes the next step isn't doing more. It's admitting you need some support and letting someone help you find a better way forward.

Today's task: think of one person you've been meaning to ask for help and send them a message. Be honest. Tell them you're struggling with your job search and ask if they can help.

And if you need more structure and support in your job search, the Let's Get You Hired Toolkit was built to help you do exactly that. Link in bio.

You don't have to do this alone.

A career gap doesn't make you less valuable as a candidate.

Life happens. You might take time off to raise a child, care for a family member, recover from losing a job, or simply reset.

You don't need to hide the gap or pretend it didn't happen. What matters is how you explain it and how you position that time in your career story.

Today's task: think about a career break you've had and write down how you'll explain it honestly and confidently in your next job search.

Your career doesn't have to look perfect. It just has to make sense.

Your next job might already be inside the company you work for.

A lot of people wait for their manager to notice their potential and nominate them for the next opportunity. But internal roles still have to be pursued.

The advantage is that you already know the people you need to reach. You have access to the hiring manager, the team, and the people making decisions. Use it.

Today's task: look around your company and identify a team, department, or role you'd be interested in, even if there isn't an opening right now. Reach out to the hiring manager or team lead and ask what problems they need help solving.

You might be surprised by what opportunities are already sitting inside your company.

Your CV is probably not the reason you didn't get the job.

You can spend hours tweaking the same document, but at some point, the better use of that time is doing the work you want to be hired to do.

If you're a video editor, edit another video. If you're a designer, create another design. If you're a marketer, run another campaign. Don't just keep telling employers what you can do. Start showing them.

Today's task: step away from your CV and create one piece of evidence that shows a problem you can solve.

And tell me in the comments: what are you going to do instead of editing your CV?

25/08/2026

You can be the most competent person in the room and still lose the interview.

Being good at what you do isn't enough if you can't make your value clear.

Today's task: record yourself answering one of the most common interview questions and watch it back. Are you making your contribution and the value you bring clear?

The more you practise, the easier it becomes to communicate your experience with confidence. That's exactly what the Let's Get You Hired Toolkit helps you work on, with a structured framework for interview preparation. Link in bio.

Job hopping is not automatically a red flag. Sometimes it’s simply a sign that you know when an opportunity is no longer serving you.

Companies make decisions based on what is best for them. You should think about your career the same way.

The real issue is not how long you stayed in every role. It’s whether you can explain your career moves clearly and show what you gained from them.

Today's task: look at your CV and identify any gaps or roles where you stayed for less than three months. Reframe them as intentional career moves rather than something you need to explain away to an employer.

And tell me in the comments, how long have you been with your current company?

23/08/2026

Waiting until you're unhappy to start thinking about your next move is one of the most expensive mistakes you can make in your career.

When you're settled and not desperate, you have the leverage to be selective, negotiate harder and move towards something better rather than just away from something bad. That leverage disappears the moment you need a way out.

Today's task: go to your calendar right now and schedule a six month career checkpoint. Your market value doesn't wait for you to be ready and neither should you. If you want a clear framework for staying relevant and visible all year round, the toolkit was built for exactly that. Link in bio.
