Strengthened Health Infrastructure
1. 115 operational health facilities across the county, comprising: One Level V facility (MCTRH)
a. Six Level IV hospitals
b. 70 dispensaries
c. 38 health centers
2. 128 Community Health Units established across the county.
3. 22 dispensaries constructed and fully operationalized.
4. 36 health facilities rehabilitated to improve access and service utilization.
5. 20 dispensaries upgraded to health centers to offer a wider range of healthcare services.

5. 653 referral cases managed in the last quarter alone, including:

Medical Supplies and Equipment
1. Over Ksh 200 million spent on procurement of drugs and medical equipment in the past year.
2. Procurement frequency increased from twice to six times a year, ensuring constant availability of essential medicines and supplies.
Community Health and Primary Care
1. 128 Community Health Units fully operationalized across all wards.
2. 1,268 Community Health Promoters (CHPs) trained, equipped, and actively serving communities.
3. 9 Primary Care Networks (PCNs) established and functional, improving linkages between communities and health facilities.
4. Deployment of the Electronic Community Health Information System (eCHIS) to enhance data-driven decision-making and service delivery.
Improved Health Outcomes
• Antenatal care (ANC) visits increased to over 70,000 annually.
1. Safe deliveries rose to over 23,000 per year, reducing maternal and neonatal mortality.
2. Fully immunized children increased to more than 29,000, reflecting improved child health coverage.
3. Malnutrition significantly reduced — Global Acute Malnutrition (GAM) dropped from 28% to 20%, and Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM) reduced from 5% to 3%.
Health Financing and Insurance Coverage
1. Over 104,000 residents registered under the Social Health Authority (SHA) and actively benefitting from coverage.
2. SHA claims processing system established and functional in all subcounty hospitals, ensuring timely reimbursements and improved hospital cash flow.
Specialized Care and Hospital Services
1. All specialist clinics fully operational at MCTRH, offering services such as renal, orthopedic, ENT, ophthalmology, and maternal health.
2. Establishment of a fully functional renal unit at MCTRH and Elwak Subcounty Hospital, operating 24/7.
3. Improved access to surgical, pediatric, and diagnostic services at county and subcounty levels.
