🤍 THE GRACE COLLECTION 🤍

“You are the one constant in my life”
This saying came to me in the most random moment, I was sitting in my room doing my quiet time and having a chat with God and I was reflecting on how uncertain not just this past year has been for myself (and I would guess a lot of us) but also all the years before; my close friends and family would often joke and say to me “your life could be turned to a book, if people knew half the things you’ve been through they wouldn’t believe it”. Although what I’ve realised is through all that (although sometimes I was slightly less aware) was how constant God was in my life. I’ve loved seeing my relationship with Jesus flourish these past years but also made me think back to the years it wasn’t as “flourished” that God didn’t love me any less or wasn’t as present and constant as He is now. This whole realisation really touched me and I hope it encourages you too, that wherever you feel at with faith right now or in your circumstances- God is the one constant we can all rely and lean on: for hope, for forgiveness, and for restoration.

🤍 THE GRACE COLLECTION 🤍

“Nothing you do or don’t do will make God love you any more or any less; you are already chosen.”
If you know me quite well (or is in my small group) you would have probably heard me say this phrase once, or twice, or maybe three times. This statement holds a very special place in my heart because of the truth that it has over so many late night anxious thoughts. It doesn’t matter what you have or haven’t done, or what your background is, or what your situation currently looks like, there is one truth that radiates all over the Bible and that is God loves you. A simple yet powerful truth that His love covers a multitude of sins and that His love is so constant. All He wants is for us to continue reaching for Him from wherever we are at in our hearts, and if we tumble along the way well that’s okay too. There’s never a too far gone in this journey with Him.

SENSITIVE

🤍 THE GRACE COLLECTION 🤍

Growing up being hypersensitive I would constantly hear “you need to toughen up” or “don’t be so sensitive!” Those words pierced through my heart and for a long time I thought my sensitivity was a curse and how I wished I could just feel less. It was only after I moved to Nottingham that I could see that my ability to feel and empathise allowed me to relate to people in ways that were so different. This opened waves of new and different conversations with people I would’ve never expected to open up with so much, and most surprisingly- allowed me to have organic conversations about Jesus to people who didn’t know Him. So now I’m so glad that I am at a place where I can see my hypersensitivity as a gift (although slightly annoying at times when I can’t banter very well) it has allowed me to see the world and people in technicolour and so now to change the narrative let’s try to “be more sensitive”.
