Felines and foliage. Is there a better combo?

My Hoya sunrise is really showing off lately.

✨Remember that all our living environments are different but this is what works for me right now:

☀️ Southwest window- bright light
💧 Water when the soil is dry
🪴 I prefer coco coir chips and perlite—minimal soil, but any well-draining soil is fine

🌱 Status: Thriving with new growth! It has some TINY peduncles but hasn’t flowered yet.

The thing I love most about sculptural pots is that they can always get new “hair.” Swipe to see all the different looks this guy has sported.

I rearrange and reorganize my plants ALL the time and being able to stick a nursery pot or terracotta pot inside has been so helpful in my rearranging quests 😂

The Hoyas are in bloom 🌸

This Hoya (krohniana silver) had a particularly strong, floral scent. It was lovely. This is the second time I’ve had a Hoya bloom and I have a couple other varieties that are also growing peduncles!

I’ve been notoriously unsuccessful at keeping Hoyas around so this is a very exciting time for me 😂
Care Tips I’m Trying:
☀️ Light: Bright, indirect light
💧 Water: Let soil dry out completely between waterings; prefers to stay on the drier side.
🪴 Soil: Well-draining mix—orchid bark, perlite, and a bit of coco coir chunks

📅 Purchased: April 2024
🐾 Pet safe: Generally okay but sap can cause mild irritation
🌱 Status: just bloomed and had another peduncle!

Tiny trinkets, big charm (see what I did there?)

Hayden has been picking up little figurines/sculptures for me whenever he goes to the thrift or antique store (mostly ceramic cats but a few other ones as well). He will randomly give them to me and I think they are so cute and add a little fun to the plant shelves.
