Devotional Message
"For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control." – 2 Timothy 1:7
Fear is one of the greatest tools the enemy uses to hold us back. It whispers that we are not enough, that the road ahead is too hard, or that God has forgotten us. But this verse reminds us of a powerful truth: fear is not from God.
Instead, God has placed within us His Spirit—a Spirit marked by power, love, and self-control.
Power: The same power that raised Jesus from the dead lives in us. With God’s strength, no obstacle is too great and no challenge too heavy.
Love: His love fills our hearts, enabling us to forgive, to serve, and to see others the way He sees them. Love drives out fear (1 John 4:18).
Self-control: Through the Spirit, we are given discipline and wisdom to make choices that honor God and lead to life and peace.
So today, let us stand confidently, knowing that fear has no authority over us. Whatever we are facing—be it uncertainty, trials, or opposition—we are equipped by God. Walk boldly, love deeply, and remain steady, for the Spirit within you is greater than any fear around you.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for giving me not a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. Help me to walk in boldness, to love like You love, and to remain steadfast in Your truth. Amen.
