Today, the Department of Donor Relations successfully concluded a one-day consultative meeting focused on strategically mapping all donor-funded projects within the county.
The initiative aims to create a comprehensive database to identify project gaps and prepare vital data for Devcon 2025.
The session, chaired by Dr. Alikheyr Mohamed, Director for Donor Relations and Resource Mobilization, brought together line directors and focal persons coordinating donor initiatives, leading to the development of a Donor Mapping Template.
"This meeting is a significant step towards enhancing collaboration and transparency," stated Dr. Alikheyr.
"The new database will be instrumental in ensuring our donor-funded projects directly address the needs and realities of Mandera's communities," he added.
The session was also attended by directors from key sectors, including health, education, agriculture, and water.
Additionally, the attendees reviewed and validated a socio-economic study conducted by ASAL Development Focus (ASDEF), a Wajir-based NGO, providing valuable input to ensure the data accurately reflects community needs.
This effort is set to improve service delivery for Mandera County residents under the leadership of H.E Mohamed Adan Khalif.
