What systems are we building to amplify our own African stories?

In formal publishing, African voices are still not heard loudly or widely enough. Not for lack of talent. Not for lack of stories. It is because a layered

We need to tell our stories in our own languages, through our own eyes.

This isn’t about fighting Western stereotypes. It’s about telling our stories—urban joy, rural creativity, political strength, cultural beauty.

If we want lasting impact, we must invest in the whole storytelling system:
translation networks
creative hubs
distribution pipelines
digital archives

This is because Africa’s stories don’t need saving. They need structure, space, and systems that support them—from idea to archive.

As Africa continues to expand its digital frontier, the real opportunity lies not in mimicking external storytelling models but in crafting a digital

Think of advocacy without documentation like a building without a foundation—unstable, vulnerable, and unlikely to last. Without solid proof, reliable records, or credible evidence to support claims, even the most passionate cause struggles to stand strong.

Real-world experience shows that collecting, preserving, and analysing information is the backbone of effective advocacy. Documentation provides the hard evidence—data, testimonies, and lived experiences—that demands attention and drives change.

More importantly, documentation is a powerful tool for amplifying voices that are too often ignored. Complex issues like poverty, displacement, and racial injustice frequently arise from the erasure or silencing of those most affected. By recording and sharing these stories, documentation transforms individual struggles into narratives that spark empathy, raise awareness, and inspire action.

If we want real change in our financial literacy, we need to publish financial education that’s accessible, useful, and built for those who’ve been shut out.

Marginalised groups, whether due to education, income, or background, face real barriers to understanding the basics of budgeting, saving, investing, and debt management.

It is time to make this, and more, financial literacy make sense for everyone. No more fluff. No more gatekeeping. Just tools that work.

When financial information is stripped of jargon and presented in a clear, practical way, it becomes a powerful tool for empowerment; for people to start making informed choices, gain control over their money, and stop just getting by and start moving forward.

At its core, multilateralism is about cooperation among nations.

However, in today’s geopolitical climate, how countries view and practice it varies widely.

Our article during this year's International Day of Multilateralism and Diplomacy for Peace looks at the different perspectives shaping our global governance systems.

As information becomes more complex and data-driven, the ability to locate, evaluate, and use information effectively is more important than ever. Yet in many regions where illiteracy remains widespread, traditional, text-heavy communication methods leave people behind.

Using pictures, symbols, and simple diagrams can help make information clear and easy to understand for everyone.

Think of advocacy without documentation as a building without a foundation. Without solid proof, without records, and without evidence to back up claims, a cause has little chance of standing strong.

Documentation provides undeniable evidence—facts, figures, stories—that cannot be ignored.

What does sustainable transport for African farmers look like?

For transport to be sustainable, it must have a low environmental impact, be economically viable, socially inclusive, and resilient enough to withstand climate challenges.

For African farmers, this means affordable, eco-friendly transport options that can navigate rural landscapes and help reduce emissions. Sustainable transport systems must also address the unique needs of smallholder farmers, providing solutions that are accessible, cost-effective, and adaptable to different crops and market requirements.

Transport plays a pivotal role in the lives of farmers. Equally important is a secure and sustainable transport system that enables farmers to transport their
