Listening to MC Fullstop disclose what ailed him and how his friends abandoned him at his point of need…...
How for 37 years, alikua anachapa hepi living it up until something happened that pushed him to boldly choose Christ.
May he rest in peace.
And it got me thinking…
Don’t wait for something tragic to happen for you to realize there is a God.
Last year around April 12th, I was diagnosed with thrombosis embolism, a condition with fatal complications.
The way things unfolded before I was hospitalized wasn’t ordinary. It was divine intervention.
I was rushed to the ICU and stayed there for several days. While there, aki I prayed like never before.
We lost two people while I was at the ICU. One struggled to breathe then suddenly stopped. The other one was transferred from a different hospital about an hour in & he was no more
moments later, they came in with a trolley, covered the body, and wheeled it away to the cold room.
Let me tell you, when you’re hooked up to machines and uncertain whether you’ll make it…
The only thing on your mind is you and God.
Not your friends.
Not your family.
Not your hustle or wealth.
Just you and your Creator.
I was terrified. I thought it was the end. So I made peace with Him.
Then two days later, I felt a wave of peace rush over me the kind mentioned in Philippians 4:7.
Soon, I was transferred to the ward, and before long, I was back home.
Only after facing this fatal incident did I fully grasp what Solomon meant by:
“Yote ni vanity.”
To my brothers and sisters:
Weka Mungu karibu.
Or whatever higher power you turn to. But as for me I know this life is held by God.
This post isn’t for atheists.
I choose to believe.
Because if I’m wrong, I lose nothing.
But if I’m right…
What then?
Be encouraged, man…
Hii maisha si vile unafikiria.
Hakuna cha kerende, mse at the end of the road, utasimama kidete pekee yako.
So fikiria sana!
I sincerely thank my uncle Peter who took me to the hospital, and my friends akina Victor who rushed me to the ICU when there was no ambulance. Your quick response truly saved me.
And to my family Vice & Kemmy and folks I’m so glad I was born into this family. Thank you for standing by me with love and strength.
To the Academic Writing Fraternity, led by Ondeyo, your support and contributions meant so much. You showed up for me when I needed it most.
May each and every one of you never lack. God bless you all abundantly. I’m forever grateful.
Blessed Sunday Y’all
