POLICE BRUTALITY, SEXUAL VIOLENCE
Let’s get justice for J.
On Friday, 17th April 2025, in Naroosura, Narok South, a young woman was brutally assaulted in public by a police officer. Her “crime”? Reclaiming a motorbike she had rightfully bought.
She was undressed, beaten, and assaulted on her private parts by a police officer — in full view of onlookers. In shock and pain, she went to the nearest police station to report the crime. What awaited her was more horror: the same police officer who was the only one at the station then resumed the assault — this time inside the police station. She was beaten senselessly.
Only the intervention of neighbours saved her life. She was rushed to hospital by her children and discharged today. She is in pain, traumatized — but she is brave. She has given full consent for her story and images to go public.
She has no motorbike. Her case has been dismissed at the local station with threats that she should drop it. The officer continues to walk free.
We refuse to stay silent. We must not let this case be buried.
