URGENT CALL FOR TRANSPARENCY AND JUSTICE IN LAND ALLOCATION

The recent allocation of land meant for squatters in Rumuruti Municipality by the County Government of Laikipia has left many of us shocked and outraged. It appears that the officials in charge have prioritized personal interests over the needs of the very people they are supposed to serve - the vulnerable squatter communities who have lived on that land for years.

These communities have been marginalized and ignored for far too long, and it's unconscionable that the County Government would turn around and deny them their rightful claim to the land. The allocation process should have been transparent, inclusive, and prioritized those who need it most - the squatters.

We demand that the County Government of Laikipia:

1. Reviews the allocation process to ensure transparency and fairness.
2. Prioritizes the needs of the squatter communities who have been living on the land.
3. Takes immediate action to address the concerns of the affected communities.

We stand in solidarity with the squatter communities and demand justice and fairness in the allocation of land. It's time for the County Government to serve the people, not just the powerful and well-connected.
