Clive Ayuko Nairobi, Kenya 2nd October 2025 In the period between 2024 and 2025 carbon emission as a result of energy generated in the country stood at 786,643.96tCO2 from an annual grid generatin of 14,384,041.20 Mwh. This translates to grid emission factor of 0.055tCO2/Mwh. What this means is for every megawatt hour of electricity produced from the grid, approximately 0.055 metric tons ( or 55 kilograms) of carbon dioxide (CO2) is emmitted into the atmosphere....
