12 Months Pregnant and Still No Baby?! The Story That Left Kenyans in Shock and Tears 😢
Nduta had been pregnant for three years now. At first, she was overjoyed—this pregnancy had come after a long, difficult wait. But things took a strange turn when she couldn't give birth after nine months.
At first, she assumed it was just a minor delay. But by the 12th month, her husband, K**au, started getting impatient. He couldn’t understand why his wife had carried the pregnancy for an entire year without giving birth.
As time went by, K**au’s frustration grew. He started feeling embarrassed whenever his friends joked about it. The whispers in the neighborhood were getting louder. The pressure was unbearable.
“Daktari, acha kuniambia ati kila kitu iko sawa. Mimi siko sawa kabisa! Nimebeba hii mimba mwaka mzima! Ndoa yangu iko hatarini!” Nduta cried out as she sat in the doctor’s office, her hands trembling. 😭
Her mind flashed back to the early days of her marriage. Life had been sweet. She and K**au had prayed for a child, and when she finally got pregnant, they were overjoyed. But this wasn’t how they had imagined it. Instead of happiness, her pregnancy had brought fear, anxiety, and endless problems.
The doctor sighed deeply, looking at her with concern.
“Madam, tumefanya kila uchunguzi. Hatupati shida yoyote! Hii ni miezi kumi na miwili tu, nadhani bado unaweza kujifungua kawaida,” he tried to reassure her.
“Twelve months, daktari!? Kwani ni nani amewahi beba mimba mwaka mzima? Sijawahi sikia kitu k**a hii! Naomba unisaidie, ndoa yangu iko kwa hatari!” Nduta wailed.
“Madam, siwezi kukushauri upate mtoto kwa nguvu. Ukijaribu kujilazimisha, inaweza kuleta madhara makubwa. Tafadhali kuwa na subira,” the doctor insisted.
Subira. That word rang in her ears. How much longer was she supposed to wait?
She left the hospital, her heart heavy with worry. As she approached her house in Umoja estate, she hesitated. Would K**au even listen to her?
She walked into the house, where she found K**au seated on the couch, watching Citizen TV. His face darkened the moment he saw her.
“Sema, daktari amesema nini?” he asked coldly.
Nduta took a deep breath.
“Honey, daktari amesema kila kitu kitakuwa sawa. Tuendelee kuwa na subira,” she said, holding back her tears.
“Subira tena!? Nimekuwa mvumilivu kwa miaka saba tukingoja hii mimba! Na sasa ni miezi kumi na miwili na hujajifungua bado! Nduta, nashindwa hii ndoa inaelekea wapi,” K**au shouted angrily.
“Honey, tumtumaini Mungu, Yeye anaweza yote,” Nduta said, tears finally rolling down her cheeks.
K**au scoffed. “Sasa mungu ndiye amefanya nianze kuaibika kwa marafiki zangu? Nimekuwa kicheko! Hata sitaki kuketi nao kwa meza, wananiangalia k**a mjinga!” K**au yelled.
“K**au, tafadhali, naomba muda kidogo tu!” Nduta pleaded. She knelt down, begging her husband.
But K**au had had enough. He began to seriously consider divorce. Maybe his friends were right—maybe he needed a new wife.
Just then, there was a knock at the door.
It was Nduta’s mother, Mama Wanjiru, who had traveled all the way from Murang’a after hearing about her daughter’s condition.
The moment she walked in, K**au’s face darkened even more.
“Hujaniambia eti umewaita watu wako hapa kwangu?” K**au asked angrily.
“Mpenzi, pole, nilitaka kukuambia lakini...” Nduta tried to explain.
Mama Wanjiru looked at her daughter and sighed. She could see the pain written all over Nduta’s face.
“Pole mwanangu, nimekuja kukuona,” she said softly.
“Shut up! Na usinitae mwanao! Kwa nini umekuja? Unataka kicheko cha bibi yako kifike kiwango kingine?” K**au barked.
Nduta tried to calm him down, but K**au pushed her away roughly! 😨
“Huyu mama yako atoke hapa mara moja kabla nifanye kitu kibaya!” K**au roared, pointing at Mama Wanjiru.
Mama Wanjiru was shocked and scared. She slowly started stepping back toward the door.
K**au stormed into the bedroom, changed his clothes, grabbed his car keys, and left the house in rage.
Mama Wanjiru turned to her daughter with pleading eyes.
“Mwanangu, tafadhali toka kwa hii ndoa. K**au anaweza kukuua siku moja,” she said, her voice trembling.
“Mama, unajua K**au ni mtu mzuri. Ameudhika tu,” Nduta tried to defend him.
“What!?” Mama Wanjiru exclaimed. “Afadhali ubebe hii mimba miaka tatu kuliko ufe kwa hii ndoa! Tafadhali, mwanangu, jiachilie!”
But Nduta shook her head stubbornly. “Mama, siwezi ondoka.”
As they spoke, K**au returned home and froze when he saw Mama Wanjiru still seated on his couch.
“Wewe bado uko hapa!?” K**au shouted, running to the kitchen. He returned holding a jug of boiling hot water. 😳🔥
