Dancing in the 90’s

Vous souvenez-vous de la musique des années 90 ?
Voici 50 titres tous issus du Top 50 de la dernière décennie du siècle dernier. La musique dance des années 90 se distingue par plusieurs particularités qui en ont fait un genre marquant de cette époque. Elle mêle par exemple plusieurs genres comme la house, la techno, l'eurodance et le rave, souvent avec des influences du disco, du funk et du new wave des années 80. Une vraie fusion de styles.
Elle se caractérise aussi par une utilisation massive de synthétiseurs et de boîtes à rythmes. Le rythme est rapide et énergique, avec des beats entraînants destinés à faire danser, souvent accentués par des boucles répétitives et des basses profondes. Une tendance qui a donné naissance à l’Eurodance, un sous-genre mélangeant des éléments de techno avec des mélodies pop. Des artistes comme 2 Unlimited, Snap, Capella, Haddaway ou Corona ont marqué l’époque avec des tubes qui combinaient chants entraînants, rap et refrains accrocheurs.
La dance music des années 90 est enfin étroitement liée à la culture rave (techno hardcore ou l’acid house) dont elle est le précurseur.

Un vrai voyage d’une trentaine d’années dans le temps.

Sooo British…

Difficile de résumer la richesse musicale du Royaume-Uni dans une seule playlist. Véritable foyer de créativité musicale, notamment dans les années 1960, avec des groupes emblématiques comme les Beatles et les Rolling Stones, le Royaume Uni a révolutionné la musique populaire en combinant des influences variées, telles que le blues américain, le rock 'n' roll et la musique folk... La scène musicale anglaise a aussi donné naissance à des mouvements distincts, comme le punk rock, le glam rock, le new wave, ce qui a solidifié l'influence mondiale de la pop et du rock anglais. D’autres groupes, comme les Pink Floyd et Led Zeppelin, ont apporté une approche plus expérimentale, en incorporant des innovations en termes de production, des textes plus poétiques et introspectifs et des compositions plus complexes.
