Itās Not Just About the Weight Anymore šæ
For most of my life, Iāve been a yo-yo dieter, always chasing that number on the scales, thinking that when I hit it, Iād finally feel good. But over time, Iāve realised itās never been just about the weight.
Now, my focus is on brain function, energy, and longevity, creating a life that keeps me strong, healthy, and vibrant well into my later years.
Iāve been taking Juice Plus+ (fruit and veg blends) for nearly a decade, and over the past year Iāve added Uconn turmeric tablets. More recently, I started on cold-pressed black seed oil. These little daily choices are all about supporting my body from the inside out.
Iāve also been on Movox (fluvoxamine) for 23 years for my mental health. One day, I hope to slowly come off it, but only when my nutrition, movement, and mindset are all in a really strong place.
At the moment, I walk my dogs every day, usually 4ā5 km, and Iāll add resistance training once I move. My work cleaning and caring for the elderly keeps me moving too, and itās opened my eyes to what I donāt want for myself as I age.
I see so many people in my family and through my clients, living with chronic illness and limited mobility. Itās not about judgment; itās about awareness. I want to make conscious choices now, so my later years can be full of energy, mobility, and clarity.
This isnāt about perfection or diets. Itās about building awareness, tuning in to what I eat, how I move, and how I care for my mind and body. And if weight loss happens along the way, thatās just a bonus.
