Mama Maria needs you and I to get the life saving surgery for her daughter. Currently, she is choking on anything she invests. Even water.

Please donate to bring us closer to the goal. Link is in bio or https://www.mchanga.africa/fundraiser/141335

Every time Wanjugu tells people she had a sister who had Down Syndrome and died because of pneumonia, they are shocked.

It means most people do not know the reason for forming Geuza Wazo.

We have decided to create some videos on founder stories that bring you in on her journey of co-founding Geuza Wazo while still being employed.

We hope you enjoy! To donate, see link in bio

Maria is 21. She has severe Cerebral Palsy. She cannot speak. She cannot walk. But every month, her body does what bodies do.

Her mother has never missed a beat. Watch the full video on YouTube

We asked Mama Maria how. She told us everything.

On Mother’s day, together with our friends, we spent time with Mama Maria and her daughter, who lives with Cerebral Palsy. Through Diapers for Dignity, we’ve been able to support them with diapers and food but the real gift has been the connection, laughter, and love shared along the way.

If you’d like to support this program, see the link in bio.

Maria needs a feeding tube surgery to help ease feeding and improve her quality of life. The procedure will cost KES 380,000.

Today, on her birthday, we begin the journey of raising these funds together. 🤍

When we visited Maria and her mother on Mother’s Day, we witnessed the quiet strength it takes to care for a child with Cerebral Palsy every single day.

Any amount will go a long way.

To support Maria, send your contribution to her mother:

Please share, donate, and keep Maria in your prayers.

I know it has been a minute since I shared on whether I still donate food and diapers and the answer is I still do.

With school and work going on, updating and sharing on socials became quite difficult. We were also lucky to get a donor at the beginning of the year who has worked with us so far.

At the moment we have consistently supported one parent and we look to grow the group as soon as we can. I haven't also been visiting the parent (s) and we sent the money for shopping. We do get e-tims receipt for the purchases made.

When you're running an organization solely sometimes it can get exhausting and overwhelming but we have been going on.

This family has a 20 year old living with Cerebral Palsy. The girl organizing the shopping has a twin.

The mother was laid off and has not been able to get a job. Since last year, we have been supporting her with food and diapers for the kids.

She also has great rent and electricity arrears. We recently gave her some start up capital to help her get back on her feet again.

No child should go hungry… and no one should have to go without dignity. 💛

This week, we delivered both food and diapers to a family in need because care isn’t just about survival, it’s about comfort and dignity too.

Thank you to everyone who made this possible. Your generosity is helping families stay nourished, safe, and cared for. ❤️

We give diapers because dignity matters. 💛

But dignity cannot stand alone. People need their basic needs met first. There is no point in providing diapers if someone is hungry, cold, or without shelter.
That’s why we pair diaper donations with food support because comfort and care matter, but survival comes first. Your contributions help ensure that people have both: nourishment for the body and dignity for the soul. ❤️
