Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations have apprehended twenty-six individuals suspected of being involved in an elaborate scheme to unlawfully acquire government identification documents. These documents include National Identification cards, passports, birth certificates, and alien registration cards.

Governor Gladys Wanga of Homa Bay engaged in a meeting with United Opposition Leader Kalonzo Musyoka last evening at a hotel in Nairobi. Observers interpret this meeting as part of her ongoing efforts to exert pressure on President Ruto to dismiss Interior Principal Secretary Dr. Raymond Omollo.

Governor Wanga has accused PS Omollo of endorsing and backing independent candidate Philip Aroko in the recently concluded Kasipul by-election, a move she contends undermined the ODM Party and the broader coalition government. In response, PS Omollo has refuted these allegations.
The Sunday evening meeting with Kalonzo, which extended until 9 p.m., also included attendance by his political advisor, Homa Bay Majority Leader Martin Ogindo, and several other individuals. Accompanying Kalonzo were Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti and Member of Parliament Daniel Maanzo.

Update:
Passing of a Senior Police Officer.
It has been reported that Mr. Philip Kipchirchir Tuimur, an Assistant Inspector General (AIG), has passed away at Kapsabet County Referral Hospital. Police officers from Kapsabet visited the facility and were informed by the family that the deceased collapsed and lost consciousness at his residence in the Kabutie area, Chesumei Sub-County, at approximately 0500 hours. He was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Rest in Peace, Sir Philip Kipchirchir Tuimur, AIG. He was currently stationed at Vigilance.

Member of Parliament Joseph Khamis Dena, nominated by the Amani National Congress, has unfortunately passed away. Reports indicate that he succumbed to injuries sustained in a road accident in the Loresho area. His remains have been transported to Lee Funeral Home. At the time of the incident, he was driving a vehicle with the registration number KCH 767X.
