Dear Thai Citizens,
Let us speak heart-to-heart — not as enemies, but as human beings who simply want to live in peace.
I honestly don’t know what kind of news is being shown in your country. Is it telling you the full truth?
Or are some things being hidden from your government ? I ask you this not as a politician, not as a soldier, but simply as a person who wants peace.
You say you want peace — I also want peace, as a Cambodian citizen. But just look at what has happened over the past five days:
* Soldiers from both sides have died.
* Civilians from both sides have been forced to flee their homes.
* Families are living in fear near the border.
* And the families of the fallen soldiers are living in deep pain.
Is this truly what any of us want?
You claim that our small, grieving country attacked first. But please, ask yourselves honestly: Why would a small country provoke a larger one?
Why wouldn’t we go through the International Court of Justice to resolve this border conflict, as we have done before?
Do we not all believe in law and fairness?
Or does your government not want to resolve this peacefully?
Since the conflict began, we have been hoping for peace. When both countries agreed to a ceasefire, we had hope.
But then something heartbreaking happened:
On 29th July 2025, twenty Cambodian soldiers were captured by Thai forces. And now, on 1st August 2025, only two have been released so far — one came back with a broken arm and cannot even walk on his own.The other one has suffered mental trauma and is no longer the same person. The rest of 18 remain captured. What have you done to my country?
We don’t want more violence. We don’t want more pain.
As Cambodian citizens, we have suffered too much from warc. We don’t want to lose more lives
We don’t want war anymore. Please.
Let’s stop the pain.
Let’s demand truth.
Let’s protect peace — before it’s too late.
Let’s work together to end this suffering, to stand up for humanity, and to make sure that peace is more than just a word — let’s make it a reality.
Please release our 18 Cambodian soldiers and let them return to my homeland back.
